Shine Counselors offer free, accurate, and
confidential services to our elders and their families.

Our available shine counselors are Joyce Ciccolo who is here on:
Monday and Tuesday from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm.
Judy Sansone is here on Monday thru Friday
from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm

Shine Counselors assist you with questions on Medicare and health insurance options including supplemental plans, claims processing billing, home health care, durable equipment needs and public benefits.

A telephone call to the COA at 834-5581 will set up an appointment
for these SHINE services.

Fuel Assistance - Applications for the 2011 - 2012 heating season will be taken at the Council on Aging by appointment only from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm daily. Fuel assistance pays for heat from November 1 - April 30. Along with assistance in paying for heat, you may be eligible for discounted utility rates. Please contact Judy or Joyce for an appointment or for more information.
The guide lines for a family of one - gross income can not exceed $30,751. For a family of two gross income can not exceed $40,213.
